Hampton Console |
Story and Clark, based on the west side of Michigan for many many years, made pianos under the name Lowrey to complement the Lowrey Organ Line. This early 1980's Lowrey/Hampton console, in the continental style, would be perfect for a young family. The cabinet is all done in a durable, washable laminate - great for cleaning up after little one's hands are all over it! ...And it has the well-made Story and Clark tone and touch. The finish on this one will endure a long time!

Rare Mason & Hamlin Console
|
After World War II came to an end, many of the American Piano makers resumed production as quickly as possible to meet the rapidly growing demand. Even though people wanted to have the grace and elegance of a grand piano in their home, many of the new houses could not accommodate the space required. The demand for upright pianos exploded, and a few top-quality manufacturers seized this opportunity to offer not just a regular, plain upright, but a very special, limited edition vertical piano imbued with all the grace and charm of a beautiful baby grand! The very best veneers were employed, and carvings, turnings and details galore adorned these top-of-the-line pieces. And, as an added nod the larger piano’s style, they even had an extra set of legs at the rear!
Mason & Hamlin, already producing one of America’s finest grand pianos, offered this model in 1946. This one has survived all those years, and has been lovingly reconditioned to offer you something that you would not be able to find in a new piano anywhere at any price! If you want a unique piece that makes a commanding statement in your home, a part of American manufacturing history, with beautiful tone and touch to match, then this piano is for you!
